 All the world’s a stage… One of Shakespeare’s most frequently quoted passages is found in his most popular fairy tales. The comedy tells the story of secret lovers
Rosalind and Orlando. Forced to flee for their lives into the Forest of Arden, they find themselves entangled in a game of love, lust, and mistaken identity.
The Young Actors Academy - Upper School, which provides academic and conservatory training for young actors in grades 6 - 12, brings this magical production to the Spotlighters stage at the end of their five weeks of training, which included: acting methods, theatre styles, musical theatre, dance & movement, comedy & improv acting, stage combat, make-up, and acting for film and camera.

Directed by Janel Miley and Jonas Grey, As You Like It tells the story of Rosalind, a banished young woman in search of her father, the deposed Duke. Disguised as a boy, she meets a young man escaping unfair treatment at the hands of his brother, as well as a band of dissenters and musicians living in exile. All discover the joy of love, friendship and
forgiveness in the Forest of Arden, but not without disguises, clowning, music, and love at first sight.
