Opening our 52nd Season!
  Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
    by Edward Albee
        directed by Fuzz Roark

           September 6 - October 6, 2013
           Friday & Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 2pm
              (No performance on Sat, Sept 7, 2013)

On the campus of a small, New England university, George and Martha are coming home from a party at her father's house (the University president). The two of them clearly care deeply for each other, but events have turned their marriage into a nasty battle between two disenchanted, cynical enemies. Even though the pair arrives home at two o'clock in the morning, they are expecting guests: the new young math professor and his wife. What ensues is a battle royale between George and Martha for the attention and domination of their guests, and each other.  

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? won both the 1963 Tony  Award for Best Play and the 1962–'63 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best  Play. It is frequently revived on the modern stage.  Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? was selected for the 1963 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, but upon consideration, the committee decided to vacate the award due to the play's themes of adultery, alcoholism, and violence.  In 2013, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.
