An Announcement from The Board of Directors
Spotlighters Patrons and Friends,
At an Emergency Board Meeting on Monday, March 16, 2020 it was decided that from an abundance of caution and concern for our staff, volunteers, performers, designers and audience members that the theatre will be closed until further notice. We are following the recommendation of the CDC that no public assembly be allowed for 8 weeks. All performances, rehearsals, meetings, etc. have been canceled at this time.
It is our hope that we can resume the 58th Season on May 15, 2020 with DogFight and produce all shows scheduled. There will be adjustments to the lengths of performance runs, but we want to bring our patrons and friends the great theatre you are expecting this season.

This was the message we posted in late March 2020 .... how little we knew about COVID-19.
... HOW little did we know!
With this closure Spotlighters faces a very tenuous time financially. As a small non-profit we do not have an endowment that we can draw upon when our income stops. Our occupancy costs will continue, but we do not have ticket income to meet those expenses. The Board made the decision to furlough our Managing Artistic Director until the theatre can resume operations in order to curtail some expenses. If you can make a special donation to help the theatre until we can safely begin to perform again - it will be greatly appreciated.
Total Monthly Expenses: $ 6,429
If you can help Spotlighters meet our monthly expenses, please do so with either a One Time gift of $25, $50 or more.... or by becoming a member of The 100! with a monthly donation of $5, $25 or $100 — or more. Your support will secure a future for Spotlighters and the Challenging and Engaging theatre we create for the Baltimore community. Click here to donate now: https://www.spotlighters.org/partners
Thank you so much for your support - and please visit our webpage to find out the latest information on Spotlighters. Please stay safe, care for each other, reach out via social media, and we look forward to seeing you again once the pandemic has passed.
Thank you.
