Lobby and Backstage HVAC Improvements

Since 1962 - Spotlighters has had to deal with heating and cooling issues in our Lobby and Backstage areas. This was also the case for the theatre space, until an amazing Grant from the MD Department of Housing and Community Development (SERI I and SERI II) provided funding for a new HVAC system that provides for fresh air, adequate heating and cooling, and air purification! (Thanks to COVID RECOVERY funding in 2021).

The France-Merrick Foundation has awarded Spotlighters Theatre a $40,000 grant to partially fund our Lobby & Backstage HVAC Project. The project is estimated to cost $45,000 for the basic system, along with needed repairs following the installation! (Security Fencing, Repairs to Plaster, Re-painting, etc.) And we all know that there are always hidden expenses that POP-UP in any major renovation project.
The new system will provide for much needed improved heating and cooling in our Lobby, Box Office, Staff Office and BackStage ... |
