48 HOUR Short Play Festival
At Spotlighters' 48-Hour Play Fest, playwrights, directors, and actors will have a little less than 48 hours to collaborate on a completely original 10-minute play.
The themes and topics of the pieces will be decided based on random suggestions selected Friday evening. This will be the kickoff launch party, for writers, directors, and actors - where everyone will meet for the first time, and actors will be assigned randomly to a writing/directing team. Once teams have been assigned, groups will have approximately 1 to 2 hours to brainstorm and discuss the story. Playwrights will then go home and write the script overnight. All groups will then have all of Saturday to rehearse and make any rewrites as necessary. Sunday morning will be additional tech/rehearsal. The shows will premiere Sunday, Apr 6 - 2PM to a live audience. ALL TICKETS $15 - Click Here PLAY THEME SUGGESTIONS
We need your suggestions for themes for the FOUR Short Plays that our writers will create for our directors and actors!
