| Volunteer Information |
| Spotlighters is always looking for volunteers -- We need folks for a several areas |
| Front of House |
| Front of House involves anything to do with the preparation for the audience and their comfort.
We have vounteers from Senior Box Office that come in and handle taking tickets and selling concessions, which leaves the theatre staff to handle the box office and front of house. The basic schedule is -
- arrive 90 mins prior to show (6:30 or 12:30) The ticketing system is a web-based system - and is really very easy to learn. A new volunteer will shadow an experienced Box Office Volunteer one night, then the second night, the new volunteers runs the system, with observation. Usually only two nights of training are needed. The Box Office volunteer also handles closing Front of House for Top of Show, then opening Front of House for Intermission, then closing for Top of Act Two. This is coordinated with the Stage Manager of the show. Each Box Office Volunteer gets 2 comp tickets to the productions for which they volunteer --- and they can use them on nights that aren't working Box Office.

| Production Tech |
|
Production Tech has two areas -- one is pre-show (while the show is in rehearsal) and production (during the run).
It could be something like handling Props for a show -- working with the director to track down and procure the needed props for a show - both from our stock at the theatre and from local thrift stores and other sources. Assisting with set design, lighting design, construction, costumes. We also need techs that can assist with a show while it is running - assisting the stage manager, assisting cast with costume changes and set changes, handling props, running light or sound board.

| Marketing/Advertising Support |
| Assisting with distributing flier and poster about our productions to local businesses and organizations. This can be an on-going volunteer position (working on many shows throughout the season) or may be limited to just a single production or two. This individual would also assist with canvassing the local and area businesses to seeking advertising for our programs. Ad Rate Sheets will be provided with sample ads and the various sizes and rates. Both of these volunteers would coordinate with the Marketing and Development Committee. |
