In
the early 1970's, the New York Times ran several articles regarding the
recent disappearances of young college girls in the Boston area. This
piqued Ira Levin’s interest and imagination, so he sat down and
penned his idea as to the where and why these girls were disappearing.
The result is VERONICA’S
ROOM, where Mr. Levin envisions a sheet shrouded
Victorian bed-sitting room that for years has been collecting dust and
cobwebs. Into the room enters a kindly old couple ushering a young woman
and her boyfriend whom they just met at a restaurant that evening. All
they want is a small favor from the young college girl. Things aren’t
as they seem and before she knows it, the young girl is trapped in a vicious
spider web.
Show
times are 8pm on Friday and Saturday with a 2pm matinee on Sundays. Tickets
are $12 adults, $10 students,
seniors and BTA members.
