From Tony-Award winning Composer Jason Robert Brown comes this exquisitely crafted musical that chronicles the wonder, excitement, and anxiety associated with discovery. SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD features six very talented actors/singers: Angelo Arrington (recently seen as the Mean Ole Lion in The Wiz, as James Thunder Early in Dream Girls, and as himself in Smokey Joe's Café), Karina Ferry (last seen at SPOTLIGHTERS as Janet in ROCKY HORROR Show - LIVE!), Tiffany Mowry (Miss Adelaide (Guys and Dolls), Minnie Fae (Hello Dolly), Katisha (The Mikado), Darren McDonnell, Madonna Marie Refugia (a graduate of Carver Center for the Arts and Technology), and Evan Shyer, (a recent graduate of George Washington University). Expanding from the original four voices to six allows for more depth in the various characters and a great harmonic in the powerful choral numbers. Show
times are 8pm on Friday and Saturday with a 7pm matinee on Sundays.
