Ernest Thompson’s 1979 play is an affectionate and honest portrait of an American family coping with advancing age, father-daughter estrangement, and “life” during one summer at a lakeside cabin in Maine.

The turbulent relationship between father and daughter, the generation gap between young and old, and the difficulties facing a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage, all combine to give this play a unique insight into the modern family.

A work of rare simplicity and beauty, On Golden Pond is a rich, funny and uplifting play.

with her new boyfriend, Bill Ray (Rick Arnold - L) and Bill's son, Billy Ray, Jr (Brennan Johnson - Ctr)

After a few weeks, Billy Ray (Brennan Johnson - L) has Norman (Denis Latkowski - R) back to his old self
- - - up before sunrise to go fishing on Golden Pond.

Ethel (Hillary Mazer) remembers her childhood summers on Golden Pond, at camp and her doll Elmer.

Chelsea (Catherine Stalcup Herlinger) has less pleasant memories of her childhood,
never quite succeeding in her father's eyes.

Charlie (Richard Peck) is alway ready for a cup of coffee, a hot biscuit and a good laugh
- as he delivers the mail around Golden Pond.

finally have it out over Chelsea's relationship with her father.

Norman (Denis Latkowski) has an interesting phone conversation with the telephone operator.
