What to Prepare
This will be an open audition where singing and dancing will be done in groups of four. Scheduling an audition ahead of time is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Plan to be at the audition for at least half an hour and come dressed to learn and perform a dance combo. Sides for cold readings will be given at the audition. No monologues are necessary. Auditions may be scheduled by emailing us at 2010Cabaret@gmail.com

Music
Please prepare 16 – 24 bars of both an upbeat song and a ballad. You may not be asked to sing both, but be ready nonetheless! NO MUSIC FROM THE SHOW. Seriously.
The Musical Director will be serving as accompanist for the audition and requests that you bring your sheet music with you. You may not sing Acappella or bring your own recorded music. No Exceptions.
Rehearsals for Cabaret will be starting the week of July 12, 2010 and will be running 4 days per week – 3 music, 1 choreography to start.
Cast of Characters
*Master of Ceremonies (Emcee) – The host at the Kit Kat Klub
*Sally Bowles – A British cabaret singer at the Kit Kat Klub
*Clifford Bradshaw – An American Novelist
*Fraulein Schneider – A landlady
*Herr Schultz – a fruit shop owner who is one of Fraulein Schneider’s tenants.
*Fraulein Kost – another tenant - makes her living by offering favors to sailors.
Ernst Ludwig – a friendly likable German
Kit Kat Klub Girls – five roles open
Klub Waiters – five roles open
*six principal singing roles
Kit Kat Klub Girls and Boys double as numerous roles throughout the performance.

LOBBY opens one hour prior to curtain, with seating approximately 30 minutes before curtain.
